Café Africa Uganda (CAU) is a not-for-profit organization that catalyzes the sustainable growth of the coffee sector in Uganda. As an independent partner of Café Africa International, CAU is part of a network of like-minded organizations in the major coffee producing countries on the African continent. Café Africa Uganda is also closely affiliated with the Global Coffee Platform, which it represents in Uganda.
We are a value-based learning organization. We don’t solve problems, but create value by facilitating multi-stakeholder consultations, and piloting new approaches for sustainable coffee production for all coffee value chain actors, and especially for small-holder coffee farmers.

Since its founding in 2007, Café Africa Uganda has been the secretariat of the Uganda Coffee Platform (UCP), making UCP the oldest National Coffee Sustainability Platform (Country Platform) in the Global Coffee Platform network (GCP), and the longest uninterrupted secretariat of any coffee platform in the world.
Café Africa is the recognized authority in Uganda on EUDR and CS3D, and a trusted vehicle for providing information, guidance and advocacy. In its role of secretariat of the UCP, Café Africa collects and collates all relevant information from local and international fora, meetings and networks.
