Canadiana McGill is a student-run, online platform for content relating to Canada, submitted by McGill University students. Created in January 2020 and founded in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Canadiana McGill was created by McGill student, Allison McCook, when she was in her final year as a Political Science and Canadian Studies student. To ensure this platform continues for years to come, Canadiana McGill was created in collaboration with the Canadian Studies Association of Arts Undergraduate Students (CSAUS) at McGill University.
With all mediums of work accepted (academic articles, opinion pieces, news articles, and creative works such as photography, poetry, short stories, and more), Canadiana McGill intends to be an inclusive place where students can submit their work for publication to this online platform.
This platform serves not only as a domain whereby students can access content relating to Canada, but additionally serves as a place for hardworking students to submit their work for peer review, and possible publication to Canadiana McGill. This enables for students to obtain some well deserved recognition for exemplary academic achievements and hard work.
Our overall goal is to foster a safe space for those passionate about Canada to share their thoughts, arguments, experiences, and more, with their fellow McGill students, and beyond!
