Capital Punishment Justice Project (CPJP) stands for a world without the death penalty. We work with our partner organisations, volunteers, board, other key stakeholders and members of the general public to develop legal and policy solutions that will help save lives.
We undertake research, and support casework, policy work and advocacy in pursuit of abolition. Our work advances the debate on the death penalty both within Australia and in countries in the Asia Pacific region. We promote effective implementation of Australia's Strategy for Abolition of the Death Penalty and make use of our secure base to contribute to abolitionist work in the region.
