Capitis Equities is 74% Black Female Owned, providing the opportunity for improved BBBEE status, and scoring through inter alia SME development points. Investors receive a tax deduction based on the investment amount, and will receive dividends from the underlying qualifying investments through a silo linked project return. The company is a registered Venture Capital Company (VCC) in terms of Section 12J of the Income Tax Act. To this end, we are therefore able to manage investments from investors, as well as direct investment into selected South African Qualifying Companies (QC). These Qualifying Companies include existing South African SME's, who are operating with a GP margin of 30% or higher, in the following industries: - Telecommunications - Manufacturing - Technology - Automotive - Energy Capitis Equities will then participate in the management of the Qualifying Companies (QC), into which investments are made. We provide an effective mechanism for investments in Small and Medium-sized businesses (SME’s) and Junior Mining Companies (JMC’s). These investments provide access to capital for QC’s. The fund also provides access to skilled resources aimed to assist in growth of these QC’s. The fund / VCC then makes qualifying investments into the identified QC’s subject to the investment committee proposals and approval of the investors into the VCC. This venture will make the VCC the only one of its kind in the country being fully empowered. Designed to encourage individual and corporate investors to invest in a range of private companies. - 100% tax deductible. - Investors receive a section 12J investment certificate. - All forms of taxable income, including capital gain, salary, bonus, interest etc. - Available to individuals, corporates and trusts. - Held for a minimum period of 5 years.
