Here at CarCrowd we believe that the future of public transport will not only include the traditional modes of trains, buses and ferries but also cars via ride-sharing so we've focussed on developing a cashless business model and product that suits the requirements of government bodies and city councils around the world.
Looking further into the future, CarCrowd believes that autonomous vehicles are going to become normalised in the next decade and we plan to develop our API so that app developers can use our method when setting up autonomous vehicle applications, products and services.
We have a patent pending on a method by which passengers can 'check-in' to a drivers car, exchanging cashless credits which don't constitute a commercial transaction. In so doing we offer governments and similar bodies options for a public transport solution that can keep up with population growth, climate change and the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
