Care Matters Partnership Overview
CMP is a social enterprise with a mission to be the best provider of knowledge to organisations and professionals working in social care. CMP is already well established as a leader in providing evidenced based solutions for improving workforce knowledge and productivity – helping professionals to deliver the best possible services to children, young people and adults. The CMP team are highly experienced in the sector as well as in the delivery of conferences, events, training and publications. Our staff have been involved in Government working groups, research groups and involved in the governance of several charities as trustees. CMP is supported by a range of sector specialists including professors, former service managers, directors and policy makers. Service user engagement is at the heart of what we do and our work experience and internship programme offers children in care, care leavers and those with mental health issues the opportunity to experience work and pathways to full time employment. Several of our employees are young people who have been in care and gone through our work experience programme. In 2010 we will work with at least another ten children and young people with care experience to give them opportunities like this.
