Carers Information Service Overview

The Carers' Information Service provides information, advice and support to unpaid carers in Croydon looking after someone who needs their help due to illness, disability or old age. The Carers' Information Service is part of The Whitgift Foundation and supported by Croydon Council. The Carers Information Service runs the Carers Support Centre, a one-stop shop for carers in Croydon. Based in George Street, carers are welcome to drop in for information, advice and support Monday to Friday, 10am - 4pm. We can offer: • Drop-in advice and support from an advice worker • Information and advice by email or over the phone • Casework support for carers with more complex queries • Free workshops • Regular advice surgeries • Emergency Carers Cards to give carers peace of mind • Wellbeing and social events including massage, singing and dancing • Discounts for carers who join the Carers Support Centre • Publications for carers and the professionals who support them • Special awareness and information events, including the annual Carers' Information Day and Carers Week • Radar keys for sale (£3)
