SGMP North Carolina was born in March 1993. Through educational and networking opportunities, planners and suppliers work together to create quality government meetings.
Regular Chapter meetings take place six times a year over lunch. Meetings are ordinarily held in the Triangle area of North Carolina. Each meeting consists of a business session and program and networking session. In addition, each year the Chapter holds their annual conference with educational sessions, key note speakers, fundraising, and network opportunities. Meetings have been held in other parts of the state to learn about various hotels and attractions. Several FAM trips for planners are sponsored by the area hotels and CVB, following the day after the meeting.
