The brand CARTINA® is the result of a “special” project created by using an innovative material, RECYCLED PAPER! These products are recyclable and environmentally friendly shoes.
Within the world of luxury brands, ethical fashion has a mission: to produce attractive products that are not damaging to the environment. The aim of Eco/Fashion is to encourage the customer to develop a love of 'green' products by guaranteeing product desirability and therefore promoting an ethical purchase.
Two years of intense research and development activity led to a brainwave about the paper and the possibilities of its manufacture. The shoes produced have all the aesthetic and functional features of traditional leather shoes, but without the environmental damages caused during leather production and the tanning processes.
In this way CARTINA – 'paper idea’, came to be produced from a simple piece of white recycled paper.
CARTINA® owns the international trademarks and patents to protect this unique invention and the processes used in production. CARTINA shoes are stylish and ecological at heart; they are waterproof and resistant but also soft, comfortable and lightweight.
CARTINA will keep designing and creating products in Italy in adherence to the 'Made in Italy’ standards of quality and innovation.
