History Casa Hugo Curtidor's legacy goes back to the Freyre trailblazers who arrived from Spain to the land of Mexico in late 1500. A land that embraced their inheritance at a crucial moment in history, as the conquest of the Aztec empire was taking place and a new era was to be born. The Freyre’s settled outside of the historical great Tenochtitlan, as war and revolution filled the air. This environment combined perfect ingredients for their unique craftsmanship to be born on Mexican ground. The revolution escalated by leaps and bounds and the Freyre family suffered and gained at the same time, just as the loss of the head patriarchs was taking place; leaving young dynasty blood on Mexican soil with land, resources, and unique craftsmanship along a future to conquer.
