Casamango est une entreprise novatrice ayant pour mission de répondre au besoin de connecter les producteurs de mangues de la Casamance au marché national et international à travers, dans un premier temps, son centre de tri et de collecte de mangues fraîches. Casamango agrégera la production de ~2 000 petits producteurs locaux qui seront capacités et liés contractuellement à la société, permettant ainsi d’éviter les pertes post récolte dans la région et assurant un accès sécurisé à la matière première. Casamango dispose de matériel performant à la pointe de la technologie tel que les chambres à atmosphère contrôlée, permettant de pouvoir mettre sur le marché des mangues en désaisonnalisant la production. Dans un second temps, un processus industriel de transformation de la mangue sera déployé pour offrir différents produits dérivés de la mangue, avec une certification biologique et commerce équitable, et une perspective de commercialisation sur les marchés internationaux.

Casamango is an innovative company whose mission is to meet the need to connect mango smallholder farmers in Casamance (Southern Senegal, West Africa) to the national and international value chains. This project will start with the setting up of a center for collected and sorted fresh mangoes in Casamance. Casamango will aggregate the production of ~ 2,000 smallholder farmers who will benefit from capacity building (technical and financial assistance) and be contractually linked to the company. Therefore, this inclusive approach will avoid post-harvest losses in the region and ensure secured access to fresh mangoes. Casamango is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as controlled atmosphere chambers, allowing the availability of off season mangoes. At a later stage, an industrial mango processing unit will be rolled out to offer clients different mango by-products, with organic and fair trade certifications, and a commercial perspective in international markets.
