For more than 130 years, Casa San Matías has maintained a leadership position in the tequila industry and sustained continuous improvement of its products, but it has also successfully endured some difficult times. In 1993 San Matías revealed the first extra-añejo tequila in Mexico: San Matías Gran Reserva. In 2006, Tequila Pueblo Viejo was chosen as the flagship of the Casa’s brand.
