Castle House is a boutique hotel in a quiet part of Hereford city. Owned and run by a local Herefordshire farming family, the hotel has 24 bedrooms - 16 in the main house and a further 8 in an elegant townhouse, Number 25, a few metres away. Every room is individually designed but the emphasis is on luxury and ensuring guests have a memorable stay. The hotel's restaurant has won many awards for its innovative menus. Head chef Gabor Katona menus are seasonal with an international twist. Much of the fresh vegetables, fruit, salads and herbs are grown in the family's nearby Ballingham Hall farm kitchen garden. A real Field to Fork story here. Gabor is in close touch with many of the artisan suppliers that abound in this part of the country. Castle House is the perfect base to really explore the Wye Valley and surrounding counties. With the River Wye two minutes away, the hotel has designed a River Walk and City Walk for their guests to get to know the immediate area while they are staying.
