The Catholic Benefits Trust (CBT) was developed by Catholic dioceses in United States, and will be managed by all Catholic organizations that become a Member, to improve the care provided in their self-insured group medical plans while reducing costs to provide those benefits.
The CBT is NOT an insurance company. It IS:

More than that, it is a LEGAL TRUST that gives important protection of assets designated for benefit plans. The CBT is domiciled in Delaware as a statutory series trust, meaning each member’s assets are held separate from each other, although all are protected in the same master Trust.
