CAVIGEN UG is transforming preclinical research with its innovative CaviSphere platform. By combining 3D cell culture with real-time, label-free oxygen measurement, we enable researchers to create physiologically relevant in vitro models that bridge the gap to human biology. This not only accelerates drug development but also reduces the need for animal testing, paving the way for safer and more effective therapies.
As a spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), we build on years of research and patented innovations. Our microstructured sensor films and cell culture inserts are available in three specialized variants: optimized for microscopy, oxygen measurement, and porous applications such as Organ-on-Chips.
Supported by Helmholtz Spin-off and GO-Bio initial programs, CAVIGEN is on track to launch in 2025, with a mission to make drug discovery faster, safer, and more sustainable.
