CC AHEC ~ Transforming Community Health Through Education!
Capital City Area Health Education Center (CC AHEC) is the federally funded area health education center whose core mission is to promote primary health care service delivery to underserved populations. This mission is achieved through innovative programs that prepare the next generation of health professionals to provide compassionate and quality health care to vulnerable populations.
CC AHEC is a 501(c) 3 non-profit that works to increase the number of primary care physicians serving in disadvantaged populations in Washington, D.C.; increase the pipeline of underrepresented minority and disadvantaged students into the health professions; and assist practitioners and community-based organizations in addressing local health concerns.
