CCCC Highway Consultants Co., Ltd was founded in 1954. It was formerly known as the Highway Planning and Design Institute (HPDI) of the Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China, and was reconstructed and merged into the China Communications Construction Company Ltd as the solely-invested subsidiary. During the past 60 years since its foundation, the company undertakes the survey and design for roads and bridges as its core businesses, and has formed the businesses of bidding agency, municipal works, bridge and tunnel supervision and maintenance, tunnels and rail traffic, and engineering management, as well as assisting businesses of traffic planning, engineering survey, quantity survey, and construction supervision by expanding towards both the upstream and downstream of the industrial chain. Meanwhile, we always adhere to the overseas strategy of "going-out" which allows us to engage in projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. We now own over 800 staff. The company is set with production and operating systems for long span bridge, highway and transportation, international project, bridge and tunnel supervision and maintenance, municipal works, tunnel and rail traffic, and engineering construction management. The company also owns 19 solely invested subsidiaries and branches and 5 offices. In the year of 2009, the company was qualified and obtained the management system certificate of "Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety".
