CEIP | Circular Economy Innovation Partnership

The Circular Economy Innovation Partnership (CEIP) promotes Circular Economy business innovation and investment in Nigeria through research, advocacy, and programme facilitation. CEIP works in close partnership with individuals and organizations who share the goal of building a cadre of local entrepreneurs that have both the capabilities and opportunities to develop successful Circular Economy ventures. RESEARCH: Nigeria is Africa’s largest economy, with a young, vibrant, and sophisticated consumer population. At the same time, nearly half the population lives in severe poverty and the country faces considerable risks from climate change which are compounded by weak infrastructure. To what extent can business innovation be used to tap into Nigeria’s youthful and creative spirit to address these monumental challenges? We conduct research on Circular Economy business and investment opportunities and their potential for impact in Nigeria and facilitate the development of research on a broad range of Circular Economy topics through our partnership with the Africa Circular Economy Network to support the African Circular Economy Research Group. ADVOCACY: CEIP works with its partners to raise awareness about the Circular Economy and mobilize action that leads to opportunities for organizational innovation and investment. We host webinars and other workshops that are designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and network building. PROGRAMME FACILITATION: We design and deliver bespoke innovation challenges and incubation programs to define Circular Economy opportunities, identify best-in-class solutions and support their development into commercially viable products or solutions.
