Founded in March 2014, the Center for Workers’ Rights strives to improve working conditions, reduce barriers to securing employment, and remedy workplace injustices for low-wage workers and their families in the greater Sacramento area.
We will help workers solve employment-related issues for which for-profit attorneys are unavailable. We do this by working inside and outside the courtroom, representing clients in inquiries to employers, administrative processes, and mediations.
Our model of legal and advocacy services focuses on building long-term relationships with clients, and involving them in continued advocacy campaigns for workers in the community. We believe the result of this integration will be increased activism, civic engagement, and empowerment in the labor community.
