The Center for Global HRM (CGHRM) is a platform that strengthens Swedish HRM research by serving as a hub and knowledge resource within the HRM field. CGHRM's goal is to promote Sweden's competitiveness by initiating and developing relevant research in collaboration with the private sector and public organizations.
CGHRM has a national mission to establish partnerships both within the country and internationally, as well as to act as a meeting place between researchers and HRM professionals. To fulfill its vision, CGHRM organizes a range of activities, including public seminars, research networks, international HRM conferences, and calls for planning grants. CGHRM is also working on establishing Sweden's first professorship in HRM.
Since its inception in 2013, CGHRM is a collaboration between two faculties (the School of Business, Economics, and Law and the Faculty of Social Sciences) and two departments (the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Sociology and Work Science) at the University of Gothenburg. The center is governed by a steering committee and has two advisory bodies consisting of partners from the private sector, public organizations, and researchers, ensuring both practical relevance and scientific quality in CGHRM's work.
