The Centre for Medical Informatics and Professional Development (CMIPD) is a Non-governmental organization that aims to provide healthcare educational support to bridge the observed widening gap in the standard of medical practice in developing countries and developed countries through collaboration. It is a painful truth that in many areas of Medical practice, the standard of care in developing countries is not keeping up with the continuously improving standards in developed countries. Many front-line healthcare givers in developing countries lag behind in training because of poor educational facilities and inadequate Medical facilities. Where there is good enough basic training, there are inadequate continuous education and skills development opportunities comparable to what obtains in advanced countries.
We are a team of Medical professionals who are leaders in our respective areas of specialization. CMIPD is registered in Nigeria with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) to promote improvement in training, healthcare delivery, protocol, treatment and Medical Research in Nigeria. CMIPD is also registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organization CIO in the United Kingdom.
