The Centre for Peace and expression was established in January 2019. Somali peace experts from Europe, North America, and Somalia met in Mogadishu, they decided to create a center for young people to persuade participation peacebuilding. In early April, CPI opened its first office in the country’s regional capitals, with Mogadishu as its headquarters. On the same days, the CPI is represented in the appointment of experts in neighboring countries. CPI is a new organization but has already attracted independent and peacebuilding stakeholders in an international institutional framework.
