CSNS is a new academic partnership between the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation (ICSR) and the Centre for Grand Strategy (CGS), based within the Department of War Studies at King’s College London. Both centres have now concluded their independent work to bring CSNS into existence.
CSNS will build upon the existing strengths of ICSR and CGS – both known for producing pioneering and world-class research – establishing a new way of thinking about international affairs and national security, with an emphasis on integrated and long-term strategic thinking.
CSNS will have an outward-facing role, working with policymakers on pressing issues of real-world significance. It will use historical and other innovative approaches to better understand the immense challenges of our current age – on issues from terrorism and extremism to great power competition and the rapid pace of technological change.
