STEM Racing is an international STEM competition with over 1.8 million students competing from 29,000 schools competing in 58 countries across different competition classes. Historically our school teams have been successful in the regional competition and have made the national finals, however qualifying for internationals have eluded us - so far !
Our team, Ceres Racing, is entering the development class this year and then professional next year. We manufacture and design a car from CAD from Autodesk 360 and it is powered by a CO2 power pack that shoots it down the track whilst racing.
We also have to create a brand and back it up with marketing and enterprise as well as get sponsorships towards items needed for competing. (E.g a new track which is £5000 which we are hoping to raise). We have to draw up technical documentation in the form of an engineering portfolio as well as draw up a project management and enterprise portfolio. We also have to do a 10 minute verbal presentation to judges about their team, covering both the engineering and the enterprise side of the competition. Finally we also develop a pit display highlighting our team and sponsors.
Here are our sponsorship levels below:
- Bronze: under £100 - advertise on socials (including website) & pit display
- Silver: (£100 - £400)- everything in Bronze & company on uniform (sleeves)
- Gold : (£400 - £800) - everything in Silver & logo on back of the uniform & logo on car & regular updates via email
- Platinum : (£800+) - everything in Gold & main sponsor & main logo on our uniform, car, pit display & website.
We have a few sponsors and we are gradually growing on social media but we wanted to grow more and receive more funding as we are looking to test with a new track as mentioned earlier.
