In addition and related to the overall objectives of CESEM, its branch at the University of Evora carries out and promotes research in the field of Music, especially concerning the areas of music history, music education, theory, performance, and contemporary musical creation. It also supports training of human resources in the field of Music within the Masters and Doctorate music programs of the University of Evora. CESEM – UÉvora supports the dissemination of scientific and artistic music knowledge through publications, scientific meetings, colloquia, and congresses. Furthermore, it encourages scientific and artistic exchange with national and international institutions, musicians and researchers, as well as multidisciplinary collaborations. Outreach music actions and its relation with society are also endorsed at CESEM-UÉvora branch.
