Changemaker Legal is a nonprofit law firm with a revolutionary mission to put ongoing legal counsel and management guidance within reach of changemakers who combat inequity and transform society. We provide pro bono and low-cost direct legal counsel and advisory support to grassroots nonprofits and social enterprises.
Many individuals and groups have the aptitude, bold ideas, grit, and creativity to transform their communities and our world. But, they often lack the legal knowledge and capacity needed to make such transformation sustainable. We equip changemakers with legal scaffolding so they can reach their highest heights, navigate conflict, and plan for sustainability.
For too long, corporate legal services essential to community investment have only been available to those who can pay hundreds or thousands of dollars an hour for such services. We bridge the gap between legal expertise and changemakers' initiatives, ensuring legal barriers do not impede these initiatives.
