In 2024, half the world’s population participated in elections where many incumbents were removed from office. This highlighted a design flaw in the democratic process… Too much focus on who is elected, but not enough on how they govern.
Without any ongoing assessment of performance, leaders stray from their mandates. Recent large-scale civic movements and citizen protests have also underlined the need for real-time leadership accountability between election cycles.
Changemakers Collective is building a tool to empower citizens to regularly assess the performance of leaders and provide ongoing feedback, instead of merely waiting for the next election.
We believe it's time to move the conversation forward from WHO is elected to HOW they govern.
