The Charles R. Blyth Fund is a student-run investment fund and Stanford University student organization. In 1978, an anonymous donor established the Charles R. Blyth Fund at Stanford University in honor of legendary banker Charles Blyth. Since its inception, the Blyth Fund has managed approximately $170,000 of Stanford University’s endowment investing in stocks, bonds and other assets. The Fund’s purpose is to provide Stanford students interested in finance with a hands-on investing experience and is open to all members who show continued participation and a passion for investing. Members attend educational lectures, conduct investment research and pitch investment theses they formulate. The Blyth Fund maintains an open-membership policy and encourage all Stanford students to join meetings and participate in discussions. Blyth Fund Alumni run multi-billion dollar product groups, manage billion dollar private equity funds, hedge funds, are partners at top firms, and have started many companies.
