Chartay Aboriginal Corporation is a community-controlled non-profit Indigenous corporation providing cultural consulting, health and disability services, advocacy, economic empowerment, and entrepreneurial support.
The organisation also operates a subsidiary, Chartay Creations, which focuses on contemporary Aboriginal art and offers products such as stationery, homewares, office supplies, and commissioned artwork and murals.
Co-founder Wayne Ryder is a Noongar man that has been recognised by winning both the Australian Training Awards and the Western Australian Training Awards. He holds a diploma in counselling along with mental health certifications and is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work. He actively works in the Western Australian community as a drug and alcohol counsellor.
Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Rosalyn Bynder is a Noongar woman with extensive experience in health and disability, training and advocacy, project management and community engagement.
Both Wayne and Rosalyn have served as keynote speakers at conferences, led workshops on domestic violence and substance abuse prevention, and facilitated various community groups and advisory committees.
