M. S. Patel Department of Civil Engineering is a part of the Chandubhai S. Patel Institute of Technology affiliated to Charotar University of Science and Technology (CHARUSAT,Changa) was established in 2000 . The Branch of Civil Engineering was introduced in the Year 2008. Department of Civil Engineering is one of the primary engineering departments of the Institute. The department has grown tremendously over last five years and now recognized as one of the major engineering department of the institute. Department started developing strong links with industries and academic institutions like NITs and IITs. Apart from high quality teaching at U G level, department is actively involved in Basic and Applied Research. The Department of Civil Engineering offers B. Tech., M.Tech (Structural Engineering) and Ph.D. programmes. The Department actively promotes curriculum development activity by updating existing courses, developing new courses and preparing resource material for teaching. It undertakes industrial consultancy work as a part of its interaction with industry and also organize Seminars / Symposia for professional interaction. The Department contributes to the interdisciplinary academic and research activity of the institute.
