Chettinad Tiles is a heritage tile manufacturer based in Tamil Nadu, India, specialising in handcrafted Athangudi tiles. Inspired by the traditions of the Chettiar community, our tiles are made using age-old techniques with hand-poured natural pigments, locally sourced sand, and cement. The process involves no kiln firing. Each tile is individually cast, sun-cured, and polished, resulting in rich colours and timeless patterns that celebrate India’s artisanal legacy. We preserve traditional Chettinad motifs such as florals, geometry, and symbolic elements, while also offering customisation.
