Chicane Motorsport was launch in June 2021 as a spin-off to it's sister company, award winning automotive aftermarket specialist PR and marketing consultancy Chicane, which has established a reputation as one of the leading PR and Marketing companies in the Automotive industry.
Its remit is to emulate what Chicane has established in the aftermarket, but now in the global motorsport industry.
Most of the team have a vast motor sport track record - pardon the pun!
Chairman Gary Barak was born into the sport following his father's extensive racing career and he helped set up the family business - Woodcote Racing based at Silverstone. Gary has competed in 2 and 4 wheel motorsport competition categories including Speedway, Formulas Ford, Sportscars and even Lawn Mower racing! He had a publishing career that included a time at Autosport Magazine and worked within the F1 and WEC championships around the world.
Managing Director Simon Maurice has a similar backround to Gary and as well as working Autosport, F1 Racing and Classic & Sportscar, was also the motor sport PR and marketing manager responsible for all Gulf Oil International motor sport activities for well over 15 years. So the WEC, ELMS and other endurance racing series are part of his passion. Simon was also awarded the auspicious PR award from Automobile Club de la Ouest for his outstanding work at Le Mans 24 Heures.
Joining Gary, Simon, Steve and Donna at Chicane is Warren Jones. Warren was at Aston Martin Racing and Aston Martin Lagonda as Commercial & Partnerships Manager and Brand & Technical Partnerships Manager, bringing with him a wealth of experience and contacts to Chicane Motorsport.
