China Semiconductor Industry Association (CSIA) was founded in November 1990 in Beijing. CSIA is a national non-profit social organization voluntarily established by units, experts and other related supporting enterprises and institutions in the semiconductor field engaged in the manufacturing, design, scientific research, application, academia, semiconductor discrete devices, semiconductor materials and equipment etc. CSIA is China’s sole national, non-profit social organization for the semiconductor industry.
Mission of the CSIA: Observe the Constitution, laws, regulations, national policies and social ethic and consciously strengthen integrity and self-discipline; Serve the members, serve the industry and service the government; Play the role of bridge and link between the government and the member units; Protect the legitimate rights and interests of its member units and the industry, and promote the development of the semiconductor industry as a whole.
CSIA has nearly 900 members (as the end of April, 2023), accounting for more than 80% of the industry's output value. Its widely-representative members form the backbone of the Chinese semiconductor industry.
CSIA joined the World Semiconductor Council (WSC) in June 2006 to promote international cooperation in the semiconductor sector in order to facilitate the healthy growth of the industry from a long-term, global perspective. CSIA actively promotes all-round and multi-level cooperation with foreign semiconductor industry, and promotes the development of mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation.
