Chris Ramirez is a New York based photographer whose professional career spans two decades. His broad experience makes him an excellent choice to tell a visual story from classic reportage to high production studio and location photography. Chris is also expert in the capture of video, audio and panoramic images. Chris has been commissioned repeatedly by the most demanding media corporations in the world, among them The New York Times, Parade, Discovery Channel, AOL, The Wall Street Journal and Ringier AG Zürich. Other clients include Mercedes Benz, Nyack Hospital, Jet Blue, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the Inspire CP Center and Catholic Charities. From Alaska to the Persian Gulf, Chris has shot more than 20 cover stories for The Sunday New York Times ‚ÄúTravel‚Äù section, as well as several multimedia pieces for NYT.com. In 2001, his photographs appeared in The New York Times‚ A Nation Challenged, a special section published after the September 11 terrorist attacks, for which the Times won a Pulitzer Prize. He has been a faculty member of the prestigious Eddie Adams Photography Workshop (Barnstorm) since 1999. He lives in Summitville, New York, at the base of the Catskill Mountains some 75 miles northwest of New York City. He is married to Lisa, a writer. They have a brilliant daughter named Bella.
