Directors have told me I have strong instincts when it comes to breaking down and understanding scripts. That may be because since I was very young I had a knack for performing. I loved putting on acts for my family or making up silly dances. Putting on a character was my way of expressing who I was. Once I was in school music and theater was my favorite thing from early on. Some of my favorite memories were my family coming to see me perform in school plays. While I no longer do theater, my focus has become Voice Acting as well as acting for TV and Film.
I have been self employed for the last 25 years. Evans Entertainment is my baby. Spent a lot of years building client relations and listening to and understanding their individual needs. Whether it was a nightclub, couple getting married or someone hiring me to MC and live event I made sure I understood exactly what they wanted from me. Communication is a key I knew that from the start. Never keeping a client waiting to hear back from you is critical. So is meeting and exceeding deadlines and expectations. I always keep to my commitments.
In 2016 I decided it was time to step back from the DJ life and focus on voice over and acting. It was time to be with my family more on the weekends and coaching my kids in sports. This also allowed me the flexibility I needed to work with casting schedules.
My home studio consists of Dawbox vocal booth, MXL VO 1-A Harlan Hogan and Sennheiser MKH 416 mics, and a choice of Aphex or Avalon 737 channel strips depending on the sound you are looking for. Also ipDTL, Source Connect or Skype.
