CIDS – Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences

We are an interdisciplinary hub for digitalization, data science, and AI at TU Dresden. At the Center for Interdisciplinary Digital Sciences (CIDS), we bring together cutting-edge research in high-performance computing, AI algorithms, human-machine interaction, complex system science, network science, and digital learning tools. Our close integration of engineering, natural sciences, and the humanities enables groundbreaking research at the intersection of multiple disciplines. As a scientific competence center at TU Dresden, CIDS unites eight departments specializing in different aspects of data science. In addition, CIDS includes central service units and an Interactive Science Lab to make its research transparent and accessible to the public. CIDS provides the university with essential IT infrastructure and supports digitalization across teaching, research, and administration.
