Nossa história de sucesso se iniciou na metade do século XIX, no ano de 1855 em Fortaleza, com a Fundição Cearense. Pioneira do setor no Brasil, foi considerada a mais antiga fundição do país em atividade, segundo a ABIFA (Associação Brasileira das Indústrias de Fundição). Em 1977, com a aquisição da Metaneide iniciou-se a trajetória no segmento de autopeças. E em 1996 inaugurou a Durametal, dentro de um conceito totalmente novo e em modernas instalações. Essa história se fortaleceu ainda mais em 2006, com a associação ao grupo espanhol CIE Automotive, que atua sob a marca CIE Autometal no Brasil. This success story began in the mid-19th century, in the year 1855 in Fortaleza, with Fundição Cearense. Durametal is the pioneer of the sector in Brazil, and it was considered the oldest foundry of the country still active, according to ABIFA (Brazilian Association of Foundry Industries). In 1977, with the acquisition of Metaneide, Durametal began the trajectory in the auto parts segment. Moreover, in 1996 it inaugurated Durametal, with an entirely new concept and in modern facilities. This story was further strengthened in 2006 by the partnership with the Spanish group CIE Automotive, which operates under the CIE Autometal brand in Brazil.
