We pride ourselves on supporting quality cinema – small, medium, large. Over the years, we have selected and released countless Oscar & Golden Palm award-winning films. Our library spans from titles such as Slumdog Millionaire, Drive, Dolor & Gloria, Portrait of a lady on fire, The Artist and The Specials, created by esteemed directors such as the Dardenne brothers, Ken Loach, Michael Haneke, Alex van Warmedam, Agnès Varda, Pedro Almodóvar, Céline Sciamma and many more.

We have offices in Brussels and Amsterdam with local teams in each country. We are one of the few independent distributors being fully integrated across all our geographies and windows.
The company was founded by Eliane Dubois in 1975. Over the years, she established an institution. Since her passing in 2013, her spirit lives on within a team adamant to perpetuate the passion for outstanding film with Marc Smit and Stephan DePotter (co-owners - respectively in Amsterdam and in Brussels).
Cinéart Benelux has just about 25 employees across all windows. We are committed to building our online audience (100k friends and growing daily), and have the ambition to cultivate the most loyal quality cinema audience in Belgium and the Netherlands.
In 2020, with Curzon (UK) and Madman Entertainment (AUS), Cinéart launched the development fund 'Curzon CM'. This fund was created to offer talented filmmakers the opportunity to develop projects, finance and release them.
