A PRIN2022 project to design and develop citizen analytics (aka CITYBLE), which will be implemented through a multidisciplinary intervention aimed at enhancing people wellbeing and urban ecosystems. It is coordinated by the University of Ferrara partnered with the University of Milan and the University of Salento.
With the aim of clarifying these issues, a preliminary empirical investigation will be performed to support the conceptualization of key variables (e.g., individual factors, work-related, economic system, etc.) and the study of correlations among the same. Thereby, data on new work organization and well-being dimensions will be integrated with data acquired from citizens using digital technologies (e.g., apps and sensors). Subsequently, the citizen analytics system will be designed and developed by adopting group model building, hence involving experts and decision-makers in the conceptualization and design activities, and by gathering direct requirements and insights from the public. Furthermore, usability assessment (such as prototyping and pilot-testing) will be performed. Multiple case studies will be conducted to apply the research outcomes to real urban settings (e.g., Bergamo, Ferrara, and Lecce) and obtain a preliminary validation of results by interacting with key public and private stakeholders, as well as the identification of possible strategies for business application.
