CityMinds Summer School, is a five-day training programme designed for undergraduate students from RIS countries to cultivate the entrepreneurial mindset and innovative thinking in Smart Urban Mobility. It elaborates on a mix of innovative learning methods that create a holistic knowledge approach, ‘from concept to market’.
CityMinds aims to support closing the knowledge gap in Innovation and Entrepreneurial thinking in the Smart Urban Mobility domain that is identified in RIS countries, by setting the following specific objectives: (a) strengthen undergraduate (in engineering and science domains) students’ skills, (b) embed innovation thinking in the solution design process, (c) create a business culture to translate business ideas in marketable solutions, (d) raise participants’ awareness on EIT scope and programmes and motive them to apply in EIT courses.
What does the Summer School offers?
- Free of charge and fully covered expenses (for eligible students)
- Equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to conceptualize, and design disruptive smart urban mobility solutions that have the potential to lead to livable and sustainable communities
- Design Thinking methodology employed to lead to solutions/ideas – potential start-ups
- Course materials are developed by entrepreneurship and urban mobility innovation experts across EU
- 5/days; 14 lectures; 3 visits; group projects; 3 workshops; 1 pitching event; certifications; an open day event
- Two prizes (2,000 & 1,000€) for the best project proposals!
Eligibility Criteria
Applications are open to students from RIS countries who have completed at least their second year of an undergraduate degree in fields such as engineering, information science, information technology, computer science, computer engineering, statistics, geoinformation technology, urban planning, geography, economics, or software engineering.
