The Clan Maclean Association of California and Nevada is a Scottish heritage organization. A registered 501(c)3 non-profit, the Association promotes the history of the Clan Maclean, a storied Highland Scottish clan, its genealogy, and the contributions of Macleans today and throughout the ages with a focus on California Macleans. Tracing its roots to 1050, the Clan Maclean is one of the oldest Highland clans.
Today, the California Association is one of 12 chapters of the International Clan Maclean organization based in Mull, Scotland and found on three continents. Descendants of the Clan Maclean are found on all seven continents (a Maclean has even skied in Antarctica).
