Claralys’s consistent fabric catches more particles, faster. The standard industry filtration material is a random jumble of fibres, pressed and melted together to form a sturdy but uneven mesh. Some areas form a dense sieve, and catch fine particles at the cost of reduced water flow, while neighbouring areas provide minimal resistance to water flow, but don’t catch dirt so well. This means that most water flows through the areas of the fabric that provide the worst filtration. Claralys’s even fabric optimises filtration by using the entire surface of the filter, while maintaining a high flow rate.
