CLIC Car Insurance is a subsidiary of AMI Insurance, providing specialist car insurance policies to customers throughout New Zealand from their Christchurch-based head office. CLIC specialises in providing insurance to people who may have difficulty obtaining insurance elsewhere, including young drivers, those with modified, classic or customised vehicles or to people with traffic or criminal convictions.
In April 2012, IAG Insurance NZ Ltd purchased AMI Insurance. Shortly after, CLIC Car Insurance customers were transferred to IAG's specialist insurer - NAC Insurance, and the CLIC brand was closed.
