CAP is committed to expanding and deepening climate philanthropy.
The Climate Pledge is designed to help trigger, and track, new funds for climate change and make it easier for donors new to climate philanthropy to get involved. The funds may be for climate gifts, grants and/or investments. The Pledge is available online at www.climate-pledge.org and can be used by anyone. Tracking will begin for amounts of $100,000 and upwards. The funds are meant to be activated within a 12-month period.
We feel it is urgent that the philanthropic community maintain a strong focus on climate change. Even as we are all concerned about, and trying to address, the near-term crises, we cannot neglect the existential threat we face from climate change, which is also exacerbating the negative impacts of COVID and other diseases.
This IS the climate era.
