Club Ekta is a women-led community organisation based in Bradford, empowering South Asian women and girls through sport, wellness, and community connection.
Founded in 2021, Club Ekta was created to break down the cultural, social, and economic barriers that prevent many women from accessing physical activity and well-being support. We provide safe, culturally sensitive, women-only spaces where participants can build confidence, improve their physical and mental health, and feel part of a supportive sisterhood.
Our work includes:
🏋🏽♀️ Fitness sessions including Yoga, Bhangra, Kickboxing, Pilates & HIIT
🏇 Northern England’s first female-only equestrian club, featured by the BBC
🥎 A women’s rounders team competing in the West Yorkshire Rounders League
🥋 A dedicated Combat Academy, affiliated with the British Martial Arts & Boxing Association (BMABA)
🚴🏽♀️ Cycling and walking programmes to promote active lifestyles
🎨 Empowerment workshops and wellness retreats
⚽ Youth sports projects, holiday camps and school partnerships
