The first public access alternative fuel station ( CNG Fuel Station) in Brazoria County located in Lake Jackson. As the widespread usage of natural gas vehicles has increased in recent years, so has the need for fueling stations to service this segment of motorists. CNG Energy Partners realized this need and, in conjunction with state and local governments, worked to fill this void. The Lake Jackson CNG Fueling Station is a public/private partnership between CNG Energy Partners and the City of Lake Jackson, and was awarded a grant from the Texas Commission of Environmental Quality. The station is a prime example of private companies and government working together to better serve the citizens of Texas, in addition to further promoting and harnessing the economic and environmental benefits of this clean-burning, domestic fuel source.
