Built on Children’s National Hospital’s excellence in research and our commitment to innovation, Innovation Ventures is a translational intermediary, focused on bringing novel technologies and therapeutics to patients, families and providers to advance pediatric health. At Children’s National, we define innovation as the process of transforming novelties and discoveries to benefit patients, families and clinicians. Our scope includes regulated medical products – as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration – in three categories: drugs/biologics, devices/diagnostics and digital health/software as a medical device (SaMD). Our diverse and collaborative culture fosters a creative and dynamic environment for generating groundbreaking ideas, the sources of which are research-based, hospital-based and external/open innovation. We are laser-focused on solving the most pressing unmet needs in pediatric healthcare.
