After spending more than a decade and a half in the corporate sector, holding leadership positions in multi-faceted roles spanning across international boundaries, working for some amazing start-ups, interviewing, meeting & working with young champs, I realized there is and always will be a significant gap between what learners get to learn during their academic years vis-a-vis what is truly required when they enter the industry. Most of what they have learnt is already obsolete by the time they are ready to apply it on-ground.
The real impact cannot be brought through multi-directional skill building programs. Rather, what is required is a personalized approach to identify the underlying gaps and accordingly customize a series of learning nuggets with an aim to minimize the identified gap and prepare for future. To keep the learner going and provide enough fuel for motivation, progressive assessments are a key to ascertain whether the learner is on right track or any tweaks in learning plan are required.
With this in mind, I laid the foundation of my initiative to give back to the young learners, the wealth of experience & exposure that I have acquired during these many years of my professional career.
