We are a family-owned company that grew out of an 1867 partnership between two families in the North of France, the Coisnes and the Lamberts. Chaired by Augustin Debiesse, it currently brings together 670 family members — descendants and spouses included.
We conduct our business to serve the continuity of our family Group with a growing number of descendants. As the lead holding company of the Group, Colam Entreprendre defines the long-term vision and sets the major strategic guidelines to steer its businesses’ profitable and sustainable growth. It is committed to two main objectives; to develop the family’s collective assets and to keep the strong family cohesion alive.
By far the most important of our assets is Sonepar, the global market leader in B-to-B distribution of electrical products, solutions and related services. We are Sonepar’s founding shareholder.
