Cole Classic Ocean Swim

Cole Classic Ocean Swim company information, Employees & Contact Information

Cole Classic: The World’s Largest Ocean Swim The Cole Classic was founded in 1982 at Bondi Beach by ocean swimmer and surf lifesaver Graham Cole as the “people’s swim.” It moved to Manly Beach in 2007, where it has grown into the world’s largest ocean swim, with over 5,000 participants annually. In 2025, 5,760 swimmers are expected to take part, choosing from 1km, 2km, or 5km distances. Since coming under Manly Life Saving Club (MLSC) ownership in 2020, the event has thrived, raising over $1 million for charity and supporting over 40 charities. Held on the first Sunday in February, the Cole Classic is more than just a swim—it’s a celebration of community, fitness, and ocean swimming. Beyond the competition, it is deeply committed to caring for the marine environment and giving back to the community, ensuring a sustainable future for both. With growing participation and a strong focus on charity and conservation, the Cole Classic continues to make a lasting impact—bringing people together to challenge themselves, support important causes, and honor the ocean.
